Job DescriptionThe physician oversees the quality of care delivered to patients by providing comprehensive treatment of children and adolescents from admission through discharge including, but not limited to, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family therapy, management of medication, and post seclusion/restraint evaluations. Leads the multidisciplinary treatment team and participates collaboratively regarding the treatment of patients. QualificationsCurrent licensure in the State of Illinois, board certification in psychiatry preferred, and experience treating children and adolescents in an acute care setting. The Springfield Public School District is a strong public school system that includes a comprehensive special education program, a modern cooperative vocational training center, and a gifted magnet elementary school. There are also a number of parochial schools in the area.
