Sierra Vista Hospital has 72 licensed beds. We are in the process of expanding the hospital and we will add an additional 48 beds. We are in the process of licensing for ECT.

Job Description

Sierra Vista Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for Program Director for Outpatient Services. We provide services to the adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The general duties and responsibilities include:

Provides education and in-service instruction programs for the Hospital's nursing and ancillary personnel in the operation of the Program/Unit.
Makes recommendations to the Hospital's administration regarding the use of Hospital personnel, the necessary equipment, and general quality standards of patient care in connection with the Program/Unit.
Develops medical education programs for the Hospital's Medical Staff in the appropriate role of the Program/Unit.
Serves as a liaison to appropriate medical staff committees relevant to the Program/Unit.
Maintains communication between attending physicians admitting patients to the Program/Unit.
Reviews and makes recommendations as necessary to revise the Program/Unit's policies and procedures.
Assists the appropriate Medical Staff Committee in reviewing and revising Medical Staff Rules and Regulations which pertain to the Program/Unit.
Reviews records and reports of patient service in the Program/Unit to promote quality of patient care.
Ensures Medical Staff compliance with specific Program/Unit rules.
Assists in regulatory survey preparation and compliance.
Other appropriate duties as needed.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited medical school
Board certified/board eligible
Completed residency training in psychiatry
Two years documented experience in treatment of adult psychiatric patients
Knowledgeable in addiction psychiatry
Documented CME's pertinent to specialty
