First Home Care provides services that enable youth, families and adults to receive the care they need in their homes and communities, reducing the need for hospitalization and out-of-community placement. Our programs offer free-standing, independent levels of care; however, they also function as contracted, wraparound services. As such, they provide ancillary treatment to support programs of social service agencies, special education programs, school and office-based therapies. Using family-focused approaches, we develop programs that build on and improve the successes of our clients.

Job Description

Develops and implements policies and clinical management procedures in conjuncture with the Clinical Director and Administrator. Oversee the delivery of medical services within the program. Invests self in developing an institution where theoretical concepts and clinical programs become role models in the future evolution and delivery of community-based services.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine with specialty in psychiatry and licensure for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Experience: Four or more years experience in the delivery of mental health treatment and clinical administration.
Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of milieu management, group dynamics, individual and family treatment, biological aspects of psychological illness; demonstrated leadership ability and skills.
