The Excel Center of Friendswood is a community-based outpatient mental health clinic of Texas West Oaks Hospital. The mission of Texas West Oaks Hospital and The Excel Center of Friendswood is to provide a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to individuals and families in a safe, caring, compassionate and cost-effective manner.

In today's fast-paced environment where it sometimes seems that change is the only constant, more of us are finding ourselves overwhelmed or struggling to just get through the day. From children and adolescents to adults and seniors, one thing is common: the need for short-term mental health and chemical dependency assistance.

Our goal is to help each individual:

Identify their barriers to success
Develop insight and skills to overcome their current crisis
Access necessary local resources to ensure long-term recovery

We offer the following programs:

Adult psychiatric programs: ages 18-54
Adolescent psychiatric programs: ages 13-17
Seniors programs: ages 55 and up
Adult chemical dependency: ages 18 and up
Adolescent chemical dependency: ages 13-17

Admission and Assessment

Call us at (281) 648-1200 to set an appointment for a free, confidential assessment. A counselor or therapist will ask about your clinical history and your current concerns and answer any questions you might have. Treatment options, if indicated, can be discussed, and appropriate referrals suggested at that time.
